There is a concern that talc may be contaminated by asbestos fibers, which can cause cancer if inhaled. Asbestos is also a naturally occurring silicate mineral, and its presence in the earth is sometimes close to that of talc. Therefore, it is important to carefully select mining locations and investigate asbestos contamination. There are many different grades of talc according to its usage purpose. Cosmetics use high quality and high purity talc.
