Kao Corporation has been included as a Yearbook Member in the Sustainability Yearbook 2026 by S&P Global after achieving a score of 78 in the Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA).

S&P Global, based in the US, annually evaluates companies’ sustainability performance based on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria through its Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) and publishes the results in the Sustainability Yearbook. In the 2025 CSA, out of over 9,200 companies across 59 industries that were assessed for the Sustainability Yearbook 2026, only 848 companies were included as Yearbook Members.
Since 2021, Kao has been promoting the Kao Group Mid-term Plan with its vision of “protecting future lives” and “sustainability as the only path.” The Kao Group will continue to integrate its ESG strategy into the core of its company management. It will also develop its business, provide better products and services for consumers and society, and work toward its purpose, “to realize a Kirei World in which all life lives in harmony”.
