Resesh – Deodorant that Thoroughly Eliminates Odors and Keeps Them at Bay

According to a survey Kao conducted in April 2023, only 20% of the respondents said they were satisfied with measures against room odors. Some of them expressed dissatisfaction about odors that return after using existing deodorant sprays, saying, “Odors seem to disappear immediately after use but come back after a while.” It is known that many people are annoyed by odors related to aging and odors remaining after cooking, in particular (according to a survey conducted by Kao in May 2023).
While odors can be temporarily eliminated by masking them with fragrances, unpleasant ones return after the fragrances evaporate. This is the cause of odor return.

In response to this problem, Kao developed a deodorization technology that can efficiently decompose aldehydes, a cause of cooking and aging odors, which tend to return with time, through research on chemical reaction mechanisms.
From this technology, we created a series of products that can be sprayed over clothing or fabric products to thoroughly eliminate five major persistent bad odors (sweat and sebum odors, cooking odors, aging odors, damp-dried laundry odors, and pet odors)^* .
