Global Research in Package Design Supported by Molding Technologies

Molding Process

When developing or designing packages, various factors such as product protection, efficient manufacturing, and environmental friendliness must be considered. Especially when it comes to plastic molding, molding technologies for efficiently manufacturing packages with complex shapes or exquisite detail are important. Moreover, we need to select appropriate materials and optimize molding methods to make products lighter or stronger, or to increase the recycling rate.

In developing the CuCute eco-Peko Bottle, we combined simulations and our own test molding machines to produce bottles that are thinner than ever before.
In developing packages for Asia, Kao provides designs that meet the needs of local consumers and fit their cultural backgrounds, and products that use sustainable materials. For example, we have designed and sell new bottles for toilet detergents that differ in shape from those in Japan and meet the local needs.

Kao continues to research molding technologies from a global perspective in order to develop sustainable and environmentally friendly products.
