Kao Included “Top 10%” in S&P Global’s Sustainability Yearbook 2024

S&P Global, based in the US, annually evaluates the performance of selected companies with ESG (environmental, social and governance) criteria, and announces the results in its Sustainability Yearbook. From among a total of over 9,400 companies evaluated for the 2024 Yearbook, S&P Global granted “Top 1%” awards to 66 companies, “Top 5%” awards to 68, and “Top 10%” awards to 98, including Kao as “Top 10%”.

In 2021, the Kao Group launched its Mid-term Plan, which declares “protecting future lives” and promoting “sustainability as the only path” as its vision. The Kao Group will continue to integrate its ESG strategy into the core of its company management. It will also develop its business, provide better products and services for consumers and society, and work toward its purpose, “to realize a Kirei world in which all life lives in harmony”.
