For over 45 years, Kao´s brands have also been sold directly in Austria through our subsidiary. The
Linz office was opened in 1988, serving as the Austrian headquarters as well as having room for a
spacious Kao Salon Academy, which was set up in 2014. A second academy, covering more than 350
sqm, is also located in the capital Vienna. This was extensively renovated in 2019 and offers stylist
customers a state-of-the art and feel-good atmosphere for their training.

In the spirit of working to constantly modernize the site and reduce the company´s carbon footprint,
Kao Austria installed a new photovoltaic system in 2020, now fully running the office with its own solar
energy. In addition, E-mobility stations support customers and employees to travel with electric cars,
helping to make individual mobility more climate friendly.
