- Kao was recognized by the Ethisphere Institute, a U.S.-based think tank, in 2021 as one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies – recognition we have received 15 years in a row.
- Kao received Triple A score by CDP for our responses to climate change and our activities in relation to safeguarding forests and water security. Only 10 out of 5,800 firms evaluated received these scores.
- Kao was named to the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index for seventh consecutive year.
- Kao Corporation was included in the FTSE4Good Index Series, a global stock indices for environmental, social and governance (ESG) investing.
- The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) approved Kao Group’s plans to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2030.
- Kao is a member of the Japan Clean Ocean Material Alliance.
