The Kao Salon Division found its start in Germany in 1948 when Goldwell was established. The company focused exclusively on hairdressers as business partners and its first product, an innovative cold perm, was introduced in 1948. Today, our salon brands—Goldwell®, KMS® and Oribe®—are as unique as each of the salons and stylists we work with and the customers we serve.
