The London hub also hosts the UK business team for Kao Salon Division with its brands Goldwell, Kerasilk, KMS Hair, Oribe and Varis, as well as the EMEA Commercial Salon Team, which steers the Salon business in the region from the London office.

London is also home to our Kao UK Salon Academy, located on Shaftesbury Avenue in Soho—a district known for its creative community—and conveniently close to our Covent Garden office. With over 1,300 participants trained here each year across more than 200 seminars, the Academy is a vibrant hub for Kao Salon’s stylist community, training partners across the UK & Ireland.

The global head office of Molton Brown, one of the UK’s most iconic luxury heritage brands, is also located in Kao’s Covent Garden office in London. The team creates intriguing Eaux de Parfum and Toilette, iconic Bath and Body, Hair and Home collections and is proud to hold a Royal Warrant for the supply of toiletries, which it was granted by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in 2012, and by His Majesty King Charles III in 2024.

Central EMEA functions, such as the HR and Legal teams, are also partially based in London.

Just outside London, at our Green Street factory in Elsenham, Kao produces all Molton Brown products as well as selected brands from our Consumer Care portfolio. With recently upgraded technology and facilities, the production site offers state-of-the-art mixing technology and modern, open office spaces, providing our workforce with a more collaborative, comfortable, and productive work environment.
