As SOFINA celebrates 40 years in Hong Kong, the brand continues to go beyond skincare, embracing environmental responsibility through the philosophy of "Kirei Lifestyle".
To commemorate this milestone, SOFINA has launched a series of meaningful and sustainability initiatives. One highlight was the customer workshop featuring a special exhibition of winning artworks from the KAO International Environment Painting Contest for Children. These inspiring pieces captured children's dreams for a cleaner, greener planet — touching on themes such as water conservation, wildlife protection, carbon reduction and forest preservation.
Held at SOGO Kai Tak's B1/F Beauty Academy, the event welcomed nearly a hundred participants to unleash their creativity. Guests were invited to join guided tours of the exhibition, where they engaged with the thoughtful messages and heartfelt hopes expressed by the children for a more sustainable and greener future.
Another memorable event was the Hand-Painted Planet Lamp Workshop, where SOFINA members and their friends or children created dreamlike lamps symbolizing their wishes for the Earth. Each lamp was a glowing tribute to sustainability and a hands-on expression of the "Kirei Lifestyle".

As part of its 40th anniversary celebration in Hong Kong, SOFINA is proud to introduce exclusive customer gifts that reflect its commitment to sustainability and the values of the "Kirei Lifestyle".
The eco-friendly tote bag, created in collaboration with social enterprise V Cycle, features award-winning artwork from the KAO International Environment Painting Contest for Children. Made from 100% recycled plastic, the bag not only showcases the creativity of young artists but also promotes environmental awareness through everyday use.
In addition, special postcards, crafted from eco-friendly paper, carry children's sincere wishes for the planet. With any in-store purchase, customers will receive one complimentary postcard, helping to share these inspiring messages throughout the community.

Recycling with Purpose: Giving Beauty a Second Life
SOFINA introduced Kao Corporation's RecyCreation initiative to Hong Kong in 2023, partnering with local social enterprise V Cycle to install recycling boxes at all SOFINA Hong Kong counters. Used skincare bottles and sample sachets are collected, cleaned, and transformed into practical items. As of December 2024, the total amount of recycled materials has reached 220 kilograms, reinforcing SOFINA's commitment to circular beauty.
Sustainable Product Packaging
SOFINA has adopted eco-conscious packaging across various products, utilizing FSC-certified paper sourced from responsibly managed forests to reduce environmental impact.
Eco-Friendly Refills
To further promote sustainability, SOFINA has also introduced eco-friendly refill packaging for many of its products, offering customers great value while encouraging environmentally responsible choices.
Eco-Friendly eShop Packaging
All SOFINA eShop orders are packed using 100% recyclable Geami WrapPak honeycomb paper, replacing traditional plastic bubble wrap. This initiative helps reduce plastic usage and waste, easing the burden on the environment.
