Kao Malaysia Champions Sustainable Choice Campaign by Collaborating with Watsons Malaysia

Kao Malaysia continues its commitment towards building a more sustainable future with the launch of its 2026 Sustainable Choice Project, a nationwide campaign designed to engage and inspire consumers to make small, conscious choices that contribute to a better world.

Anchored by the campaign tagline, “Small choices today, a better world for tomorrow,” the 2026 Sustainable Choice Project adopts an Online + Offline (O+O) approach in collaboration with Watsons Malaysia, combining purposeful engagement with rewarding consumer participation.

Empowering the Next Generation through Sustainability

Following Watsons’ regional sustainability direction, which champions children as advocates of sustainability, the 2026 campaign continues to deepen emotional engagement by highlighting the voices of the younger generation. As part of this initiative, the campaign collaborates with the Kao International Environment Painting Contest for Children, where children express their vision of a sustainable future through art.

Selected winning artworks from the contest have been featured as the main campaign key visual, reinforcing the sustainability message through the eyes of children and aligning with Watsons’ regional sustainability narrative.

This creative collaboration not only amplifies awareness of sustainable living but also reflects Kao’s belief that nurturing environmental consciousness from a young age plays a vital role in shaping a more responsible future generation.

1. Buy & Win While Making Sustainable Choices

As part of the campaign, consumers are invited to participate in a Buy & Win contest with prizes worth up to RM1,000, alongside exclusive sustainable giveaways.

Contest Period:
31 March – 22 April 2026

How to Participate:

  1. Purchase a minimum of RM48 worth of participating Kao brands in a single receipt at Watsons
  2. WhatsApp the receipt, name, NRIC, and 11-digit Watsons membership number to 011-5991 9810

A total of 200,000 Watsons Points is up for grabs, with each winner receiving points worth RM100.

2. Exclusive Sustainable Premiums

To further encourage sustainable habits, Kao Malaysia is offering environmentally friendly premiums through both in-store and online channels:

  • Free Reusable Coffee Mug
    • o Minimum spend of RM80 on participating Kao brands
    • o In-store only redemption via cashier counter
    • o Promo Period:
      • ・ West Malaysia: 31 March – 22 April 2026
      • ・ East Malaysia: 7 April – 29 April 2026
  • Free Overnight Oat Cup
    • o Minimum spend of RM48 on participating Kao brands
    • o Applicable for online purchases (31 March – 22 April 2026) and in-store roadshows (6 – 12 April 2026)

3. In-Store Roadshows for Greater Engagement

Consumers can also experience the Sustainable Choice Project up close at Watsons in-store roadshows taking place from 6 – 12 April 2026 at selected locations:

  • Ampang Point Shopping Centre
  • Kinta City Shopping Centre
  • Queensbay Mall
  • Pavilion Bukit Jalil

These roadshows aim to bring sustainability closer to consumers through interactive engagement, exclusive promotions and educational touchpoints.
