With the spike in dengue cases, Bioré GUARD Mos Block Serum emerges as a critical solution, particularly for mothers concerned about their children's safety from mosquito bites and dissatisfied with existing repellents. The serum leverages innovative Japan Anti-landing technology to keep mosquitoes from landing on the skin, thus offering unmatched protection.

Bioré GUARD Mos Block Serum is ideal for mothers with young children, particularly those who are deeply concerned about the rising dengue threat and seeking safer, more effective mosquito repellent solutions.

About Bioré GUARD Mos Block Serum's Product Technology

The new Bioré GUARD Mos Block Serum is a mosquito repellent based on a repellent technology that makes the skin surface repulsive to mosquitoes. Focusing on the actions of mosquitoes when they land on the skin, Kao has developed a non-greasy mosquito repellent with a light texture similar to body lotion that can expand widely and provide coverage on skin, as if having protection skin shield to protect from mosquitoes.

The product protects against mosquitoes without being sticky and is as comfortable to apply as serum. By preventing mosquitoes from landing or staying on the skin at all, the technology's mechanism differs from that of conventional insect repellents which typically uses volatile active ingredients consumers may be sensitive to such as diethyltoluamide (DEET) or Picaridin.

Visual Proof of Efficacy

This video showcases mosquito accretion behaviour on liquid-coated substrates. This visual evidence highlights how mosquitoes, known for their hydrophobic leg properties, are hindered by the serum's silicone oil technology, preventing them from landing and biting.

The new Bioré GUARD Mos Block Serum offers up to 8 hours of protection and will be available in two delightful fragrances (Fresh Lavender and Sweet Blossom) at a Recommended Retail Price of RM24.90 for a 100g tube. Bioré Guard Mos Block Serum will be available for purchase at major pharmacies and retailers nationwide.

In a significant step towards combating dengue, KAO Malaysia Sdn Bhd has contributed RM971,172 to Selangor's fight against the disease. As part of this initiative, the company has donated 61,080 units of mosquito repelling serum, which will be distributed through the state's dengue prevention program. The mock cheque was handed over by KAO Malaysia President Nishimaki Akira to the State Executive Councillor for Public Health and Environment, Jamaliah Jamaluddin, during a collaboration ceremony at Bangunan Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah on May 9.

Jamaliah expressed gratitude for the cooperation from KAO Malaysia, emphasizing the importance of community awareness in public health and cleanliness to control the breeding of Aedes mosquitoes. Nishimaki Akira announced that the mosquito repelling serum will be distributed starting in July, during state-run prevention campaigns and in selected schools. This strategic initiative aims to enhance public healthcare and support the state government's efforts to reduce dengue cases and eventually make Selangor Aedes-free.
