Kao Malaysia Celebrates Young Environmental Artists in the
14th Kao International Environment Painting Contest for Children

Kao Malaysia's team embarked on a journey to recognize and celebrate the creative talents of young environmental artists across Malaysia. The prize presentation ceremonies were held at selected locations for the winners of the 14th Kao International Environment Painting Contest for Children.

Kao Malaysia team visited SK Assunta Satu Petaling Jaya, the deserving recipient of the Group Prize, on January 17, 2024. A simple prize presentation ceremony was held to appreciate the remarkable 503 entries submitted by the talented students of SK Assunta Satu PJ.

In addition, Kao Malaysia celebrated the achievements of three individual prize winners:

1. "eco together" – Kao Prize: Lai Chean Loo (10 years old) from Makers Arts Centre, Ipoh
The ceremony at Makers Arts Centre, Ipoh, recognized Lai Chean Loo for receiving the prestigious "eco together" – Kao Prize. Lai Chean Loo's artwork stood out, conveying a powerful message of environmental harmony through the eyes of a 10-year-old artist.

2. Eco Friend Prize Winners: Kang Tey Seng (13 years old) and Wan Yu Xi (11 years old) from Yeow Chye Art Studio, Penang
Kao Malaysia team then headed to Yeow Chye Art Studio in Penang to honour the Eco Friend Prize winners, Kang Tey Seng and Wan Yu Xi. Their exceptional artworks showcased an understanding of environmental issues and a commitment to fostering eco-friendly practices.

The Kao International Environment Painting Contest for Children, with its theme "Let's make our environment sustainable, together!" received an overwhelming 15,916 entries globally. Kao Malaysia continues to emphasize the importance of environmental awareness, encouraging young minds to think critically about conservation.
