Kao Advances Toward Sustainable Organization, receiving Carbon Footprint for Organization (CFO) Certification for the Sixth Consecutive Year

On Wednesday, 14 January 2026, Kao Industrial (Thailand) Co., Ltd. received the Carbon Footprint for Organization (CFO) certification for the sixth consecutive year from the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization), or TGO. Mr. Akira Nishimaki, President of Kao Industrial (Thailand) Co., Ltd., represented the company at the certificate presentation ceremony, which was held at the Conference Hall of the Thailand Institute of Justice and presided over by Dr. Wijarn Simachaya, Chairman of TGO.

TGO presented certificates of recognition and appreciation to organizations that have obtained carbon label certification and demonstrated a strong commitment to supporting Thailand’s greenhouse gas reduction initiatives. A total of 87 organizations were awarded certification at the event, bringing the cumulative number of certified organizations nationwide to more than 1,893. The Carbon Footprint for Organization (CFO) certification highlights each organization’s dedication to assessing and managing greenhouse gas emissions across its entire supply chain, while collectively contributing to Thailand’s goal of achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050.

Kao continues to demonstrate its strong commitment to sustainability (ESG) through its Kirei Lifestyle Plan, aimed at making the world healthier and cleaner. With environmental stewardship as a core priority, the company has consistently advanced its efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions across its operations. Since 2019, Kao has obtained Carbon Footprint for Organization (CFO) certification and steadily expanded its coverage to encompass all manufacturing plants, offices, distribution centers, and regional sales offices nationwide, totaling 12 locations. This comprehensive approach enables accurate monitoring and management of greenhouse gas emissions at every operational point, ensures transparency in assessment, and supports clear communication with stakeholders across all sectors.

The Carbon Footprint for Organization certification not only reflects Kao’s corporate responsibility but also reinforces consumer confidence
in decision making. By integrating environmental conservation into every stage of its production processes, Kao is working toward achieving Carbon Zero, or Net Zero Emissions, by 2040, and Carbon Negative by 2050. These commitments reaffirm Kao’s dedication to advancing
a low-carbon society and contributing to long-term environmental sustainability.
