Integrity, the foundation of our corporate culture. We promote day-to-day activities based on the recognition that integrity, which has been handed down from our founder, will enhance the effectiveness of corporate governance.

We support and respect international rules relating to human rights, and have developed the Kao Human Rights Policy, which is based on the United Nations (UN) Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, and are working to achieve zero human rights violations in all of our corporate activities. The Kao Human Rights Policy was first published in 2015, and was revised in 2021 with the approval of the ESG Managing Committee, which is supervised by the Board of Directors, to reflect social trends and express Kao’s commitment more strongly. The policy targets all business activities, including M&A and new projects.

Kao Thailand has been obtained the production certification standards from certification agencies. Moreover, Kao is committed to providing high quality products and effective internal operations to gain the highest confidence that Kao has process control systems that can be verified.

Kao Thailand received the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Quality Award in cosmetic sector. FDA Quality Award is awarded to those who has outstanding manufacturing processes and business ethics, with the aims to engage entrepreneur to maintain manufacturing standards and to be role model for other businesses operated under the stewardship of the Food and Drug Administration. Kao has been maintaining our manufacturing standards and developing quality products and we will keep continue these practices.

Kao Thailand received audit certification in quality, health & safety and environmental and social responsibility from a recognized world institute for QHSE certification. Kao Thailand also has been implemented on SMETA standards which consists of Labour Standards, Health & Safety, Environment and Business Ethics which cover its company and partners.

Kao Thailand received the excellent establishment on occupational safety and health award national level (gold level) as the 4th year of achievement from the Ministry of Labour. This award recognizes companies that has management potential and are determined to operate various operations such as quality, safety, environment and energy conservation, social responsibility and developing useful innovations to the industry.

Kao Thailand received the Excellent Establishment on Labour Relations and Welfare Awards in the medium company class from the Thailand Department of Labour Protection and Welfare. This award is presented to outstanding organizations with the best workforce management system which lead to employees' quality of life, stability, and a happy workplace including building trust among domestic and foreign investors and can stimulate overall economy.

Kao Thailand was awarded the Good Factory Awards 2023 Monodzukuri Human Resources Development Contribution Award by the Japan Management Association (JMA). The Good Factory Awards are given to factories in Japan, China and other Asian countries for their efforts to improve productivity and quality, as well as for their activities for innovating their business structure. It recognizes a wide range of achievements including processes, success factors, on-site ideas, change in employee attitudes and social contributions, to serve as a model for the Japanese manufacturing industry.

According to Eco Factory standards of The Federation of Thai Industries, which place importance on factory standard, social responsibility in business and response to sustainable development. Thus, they put priorities on Industrial development in dimensions of physical, economic, social, environment and management. Especially focusing on management system, safety, effective use of resources and energy and generate less industrial waste. And as from 2018 to present, there are no complaints about our operation.
