25 years of "Laurier SistoSis" imparting confidence to teenagers

Girls' first menstrual cycle is one signs of puberty, to prepare for physical and mental changes as well as having the right knowledge and understanding of menstrual health and hygiene, are vital to support teens to embrace their menstrual cycle confidently.

Over 25 years, Laurier has been continuously arranging "Laurier SistoSis" activity or "Laurier Sister to Sister" focusing on girls who have first menstruation in middle-schools nationwide. The "Laurier SistoSis" activity aims to pass on the valuable knowledge and information as if an older sister who always gives advice to younger sister which will help them understand more about physical changes, practices self-care during period and how to choose the right sanitary pad. Therefore, the activity was designed to be an Edutainment Program concurrently with enjoyment, including the sanitary absorption experiment.

Lately this year, Laurier also supported 60,000 sanitary pads to Free Period Product Policy Pilot owned by The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) and YoungFun Project, a social enterprise which aims to solve period poverty in Thailand. The pilot project started from 7 schools in Bang Kho Laem District to promote Free Period Product Policy among schoolgirls who are entering reproductive age to access to an adequate amount of sanitary pads. Furthermore, Laurier and YoungFun Project also joint arranged educational activities in schools located in Bang Kho Laem District and Bang Khun Thian District as if the starting point of educational enhancement about gender differentiation and practices self-care and well-being when entering reproductive age.
