22 September 2023, Mr. Yuji Shimizu, president, represented Kao Industrial (Thailand) Co., Ltd. to receive the Human Rights Awards 2023 in the category of large business organization with outstanding performance in human rights from the Rights and Liberties Protection Department, Ministry of Justice. Kao is one of the 20 large business organizations that were awarded the outstanding level (the highest award). The award aims to award a model organization in human rights to government organizations, state enterprises, business sectors, social enterprises, and civil society totaling 109 organizations. The event was presided over by Police Colonel Tawee Sodsong, Minister of Justice and was held at the Miracle Grand Convention Hotel in Bangkok.
The human rights awards reflect Kao’s commitment to conduct business with good governance, transparency, verification according to human rights principles. Kao has integrated human rights considerations and put it into our policies and practices throughout the supply chain. All the activities undertaken by Kao are assessed the effects on stakeholders and engage the involvement of employees, communities along with respect the national and cultural diversity.
