Kao held the Thirteen Kao International Environment Painting Contest for Children Awards Ceremony at TK Park, CentralwOrld

16 July 2023, Kao Industrial (Thailand) Co., Ltd organized the Thirteen Kao International Environment Painting Contest for Children Awards Ceremony at Open Square, TK Park, CentralwOrld. Mr. Yuji Shimizu, president, presided over the opening and congratulation speech and also handed out the awards to the winners.

This is the first time Kao held the awards ceremony by collaborating with TK Park to jointly support Thai children's capability. Besides the awards ceremony, there was also an inspirational panel discussion by winners as each shared their concepts and ideas to conserve the environment to inspire and raise awareness among the participants. Moreover, Kao and TK Park continue to strengthen the art workshop collaboration to enhance children's learning and cultivate the environmental imagination which the award winners also joined the workshop to further art skill.

The 13^th Kao International Environment Painting Contest was conducted under the theme of "Let's make our environment sustainable, together!" with the total of 13,214 entries from children all over the world and 1,679 were from Thailand. The 7 awards that Thailand received were;

The first prize: "eco together" Planet Earth Grand Prix (1 prize)

1. Woraphitcha Phuangprakhon (10 years) Title of work: Help to plant mangroves

The second prize: "eco together" - Kao Prize (2 prizes)

1. Aitsariyaphon Phunsawat (9 years old) Title of work: Nature of life

2. Kanticha Thangsri (11 years old) Title of work: Shade

The third prize: "Eco Friend Prize" (4 prizes)

1. Jirapong Meankerd (9 years old) Title of work: Land of love world

2. Rinrada Singhsathitsuk (8 years old) Title of work: Indigo, living with nature

3. Tanateeta Chullapak (8 years old) Title of work: Happy in nature

4. Naphitchaya Waraho (9 years old) Title of work: hand in hand to protect the environment (unable to attend the award ceremony)

The contest has been held annually since 2010 with an aim to encourage children around the world to think seriously about conservation of the environment around them, in the hopes that we could be the part of enhancing and fostering children to protect the environment through their works, according to our slogan "Kirei—Making Life Beautiful"
