Kao participates in the panel discussion titled
"Drivers of Climate Actions: the Push and Pull of Net Zero"

26 August 2022, Mr. Yuji Shimizu, President of Kao Industrial (Thailand) Co., Ltd., or Kao, participated in
a panel discussion titled "Drivers of Climate Actions: the Push and Pull of Net Zero" at the international conference "GC Circular Living Symposium 2022: Together to Net Zero" hosted by PTT Global Chemical PCL, or GC, at Royal Paragon Hall, 5^th floor, Siam Paragon. This event will raise the level of sustainability collaboration by extending the adoption of circular economy principles and guidelines for achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions. Cooperatively solving the global warming crisis and moving Thailand toward its Net Zero goal.

In the panel discussion, Mr. Yuji Shimizu shared his experience leading the consumer and chemical product business toward sustainability. Kao adheres to the corporate philosophy "The Kao Way" to create a Kirei life - a cleaner, more beautiful, and healthier life for all people and the planet, as well as the values "Integrity as the only choice" and "We do what is right, not what is easy." Kao has also announced a commitment to reduce its CO₂ emissions to zero by 2040, and to be carbon negative by 2050.
