Sustainability continues to be at the heart of Kao Singapore's initiatives. Earlier this year, they ran their successful 'Go Green! Save More!' campaign with FairPrice Group to encourage consumers to reduce plastic waste by switching to refill packs of Magiclean and Attack products – fostering a community-wide effort to embrace sustainable practices. Both brands also ran price-off promotions to further encourage shoppers to make the switch.

Plant-A-Tree with Kao Singapore and FairPrice Group

As part of the campaign, Kao Singapore donated $6,000 to support Garden City Fund's Plant-A-Tree programme in support of the OneMillionTrees movement, a nationwide effort to plant a million more trees over 10 years from 2020. Leading the tree planting on 30th August 2024 was Kao Singapore's Senior Vice President, Mr Kelvin Wong. He was joined by other leaders and employees from Kao Singapore and FairPrice Group.

The event was held on 30th August 2024 at Compassvale Lane and it marks Kao Singapore and FairPrice Group's second joint participation in the Plant-A-Tree programme. It is also the third participation year for Kao Singapore, with a total of 55 trees planted to date, highlighting their continued commitment to Singapore's sustainability efforts.

Sustainability: A Collective Effort

To encourage consumers to make the switch, Magiclean and Attack's range of refill packs are made affordable and widely available in major supermarkets and online platforms. By switching from bottles to refill packs, consumers can join Magiclean & Attack in reducing up to 70% of plastic waste.
