Eco Together with Kao Singapore Magiclean & Attack: Plant-a-Tree Event for a Greener Future

Singapore1st October 2023 – The Plant-A-Tree Programme event, jointly organized by Magiclean and Attack in partnership with Singapore's leading retailer, FairPrice Group, was held on 25th August at Luxus Hill Park. During the event, Kao Singapore proudly announced their success in achieving their donation goal of SGD 6,000 to the Garden City Fund's Plant-A-Tree programme, a registered charity and Institution of Public Character established by the National Parks Board. The donation amount of SGD 6,000 translated into the planting of 20 trees. With gardening equipment in hand, representatives from KAO and FairPrice Group planted the trees, serving as a testament to their continued commitment to ongoing ESG efforts by both corporations.

Each tree planted under the Plant-A-Tree Programme supports NParks' OneMillionTrees movement, bringing us closer to realising our City in Nature vision, a key pillar of the Singapore Green Plan 2030. This year, Singapore also commemorates the past 60 years of greening and conservation efforts with the community, who have helped create the high-quality living environment that Singaporeans enjoy today.

Corporate Social Responsibility

This event stands as a testament to Magiclean and Attack's dedication to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts. This year's event marks the planting of 35 trees to date, with a commitment to planting another 10 trees by the end of this year. As part of its efforts to minimize its environmental impact, the company is constantly seeking ways to decrease the use of plastic in its packaging. Magiclean has taken strides by adopting recycled resin bottles partially made from recycled plastic for certain products.

The Eco Together with Magiclean & Attack campaign ran throughout April 2023. For every purchase of participating refillable packs by shoppers from FairPrice, $0.50*1 was pledged by Magiclean and Attack to Garden City Fund's Plant-A-Tree programme. Magiclean and Attack also ran price-off promotions during the campaign to incentivise shoppers to make the eco-conscious switch.

Refillable Packs

To encourage consumers to join Magiclean and Attack's environmental efforts, they have made their range of refill packs affordable and widely available in major supermarkets and online platforms. This ensures that all consumers can contribute to the reduction of plastic waste in our environment. By making the switch, consumers join Magiclean and Attack in reducing up to 93% of plastic waste with the current range of refill packs, which encompass a wide range of cleaning solutions, such as glass, bathroom and toilet cleaners, and laundry detergent.
