Magiclean Singapore's Contribution to the Environment

Singapore, July 2022 – During the Plant-A-Tree event on 29th July 2022, Kao Singapore and Magiclean announced their success in achieving their donation goal of SGD 4,500 to the Plant-A-Tree programme by Garden City Fund, National Parks Board's registered charity and Institution of a Public Character. Kao Singapore and RedMart's key personnel toiled the soil to plant the trees from start to finish.

The Garden City Fund's Plant-A-Tree programme is a platform for organisations and individuals to actively participate in the OneMillionTrees movement, where every tree planted is a contribution to this movement in transforming Singapore into a City in Nature, a key pillar of the Singapore Green Plan. With Kao Singapore's donation and Redmart's active participation, 15 trees were planted on 29th July along Upper Thomson Road.

Corporate Social Responsibility Efforts

This event is the most recent of Kao Singapore's Corporate Social Responsibility efforts. Committed to minimising environmental impact, the company is constantly seeking ways to reduce the amount of plastic used in their packaging. The Eco Together with Magiclean campaign ran throughout May 2022 in special partnership with online grocery store, Redmart, where Magiclean donated $0.50* to Garden's City Fund's Plant-A-Tree programme for every purchase of participating refillable pack.

Refill Packs

To encourage consumers to make the switch and join the company in their environmental efforts, they have made their range of refill packs affordable and widely available in major supermarkets and online platforms. By making the switch, consumers join Magiclean in reducing up to 93% of plastic waste:
