Kao Indonesia Wins TOP CSR Awards 2025 and Top Leader on CSR Commitment 2025 for Advancing the Kirei Lifestyle Through Sustainable CSR Programs

Jakarta, June 11, 2025 – Kao Indonesia demonstrates its commitment to responsible business practices by receiving the TOP CSR Awards 2025 #4 Stars and the Top Leader on CSR Commitment 2025 at the TOP CSR Awards 2025, an award event organized by Top Business Magazine in collaboration with the Indonesian CSR Association and other independent institutions. This award is given to companies in Indonesia that have successfully implemented Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs that are effective, sustainable, impactful, and aligned with their overall business strategy.

These awards serve as a tangible reflection of Kao Indonesia’s commitment to promoting the Kirei Lifestyle in the daily lives of Indonesian people through a range of flagship CSR programs. These include the Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) Education Program for Children (Anak KAO) which has reached over 42,600 students across five provinces, Kao Indonesia EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) Program – Waste Management aims to reduce packaging waste by 100 tons per year until 2030, installation of a 6.53 MWp Rooftop Solar Power Plant at its production facilities, and #KaoBERGERAK Community Empowerment Program, which has supported and developed 11 waste banks in Cikoko, South Jakarta—alongside several other impactful initiatives.

These sustainability programs are recognized not only for providing social and environmental benefits to the community but also for supporting the company’s long-term business sustainability and aligning with its ESG strategy, Kirei Lifestyle Innovation.

The TOP CSR Awards 2025 uses strict and comprehensive assessment criteria, based on ISO 26000 Social Responsibility standards, alignment of CSR programs with business strategies and the Asta Cipta (priority program by the president of Indonesia) framework, the 17 Priority Programs of the 2024–2029 Indonesian Cabinet of Merah Putih, and the measurable impact of the programs. In the assessment process, the TOP CSR Awards 2025 involved several stages such as determining and inviting initial candidates, the document and administration completion process, verification, and program presentations to the jury and CSR experts.

Through this recognition, Kao Indonesia reaffirms its commitment to continuously contribute to society and the environment in a sustainable manner in order to embed the spirit of Kirei into everyday lives of the Indonesian people.
