As our commitment to make the world healthier and cleaner in which all life lives in harmony, Kao Industrial Thailand Co., Ltd., has recently held its art workshop "Let's Paint the Future" for the second consecutive year at TK Park, CentralwOrld 8th floor, on 16th and 23rd of July 2023. The event aims to enhance artistic skills and to ignite the imagination of the younger generations about environmental conservation.
This year's workshop continues to collaborate with the Thailand Knowledge Park or TK Park to further knowledge and spark children's imagination, by inculcating concern for sustainable environmental conservation among Thai youth with 30 kids aged 6-10 participated for each day.
The first day's event included a Panel Talk of sharing experiences and inspirations by the winners of the 13th Kao International Environment Painting Contest for Children with the intention of inspiring participating youngsters before they embark on the workshop. Starting with providing knowledge and understanding about the causes of global warming, including an interactive game to sort waste into the 4 categories of organic waste, recycled waste, general waste, and hazardous waste. The game targets instilling the effective categorization of waste and demonstrating how waste can be repurposed efficiently. Follow by the Creative Storytelling for Kids by Kru Baipor - Omkwan Wechayachai, founder of CREAM, to stimulates children's environmental imagination and encourages them to narrate their individual imaginative stories about the world through collaborative works and individual creations.
For the activities on the second day, it started with providing knowledge and understanding about the causes of global warming and the recreational game of sorting waste, followed by the creative activity "For us, For the world" conducted by Kru Phaichit Prasopphon, the Principal and Founder of Perfect Art Schools. In the course, children were given the space to express themselves and were practiced to think outside the box. Moreover, they also learned to do group activities to create the imaginary world together. The concluding course was 'Little Creators Space', supervised by Kru Fern - Sirinda Chatchaichukiat from Sirinsirin Studio, with the 'Memory Jar' activity which encourages children to recall their good experiences with nature and painted on their "Memory Jar" under the guidance of choosing coloring techniques for their works which they also got as a memento to take home as well.
"Let's Paint the Future" workshop is a free activity supporting the Kao International Environment Painting Contest for Children initiated by Kao Corporation which has been held for 14 years to promote and instill the values of environmental conservation in children around the world through paintings along with the slogan "Kirei—Making Life Beautiful". Kao will continue to listen to children's thoughts on the future and contribute to realize a Kirei World* in which all life lives in harmony.
