Selangor Strengthens Dengue Prevention Efforts in Gotong-Royong Perangi Aedes 1.0 with Support from Kao Malaysia and Government Agencies

KLANG, 19 JULY 2025 – The spirit of community was in full force at Apartment Impian Sentosa as the Gotong-Royong Perangi Aedes 1.0 event gathered local authorities, private sector partners, and residents to unite in the fight against dengue. The mega cleanup initiative was organized with the support of the Klang Municipal Council (MBDK), Ministry of Health (KKM), Selangor State Secretary's Office (SUK Selangor) and various government agencies.

The programme was officially launched by YB Puan Jamaliah Binti Jamaludin, Selangor State Executive Councillor for Public Health and Environment, who emphasized the importance of inter-agency collaboration in eliminating Aedes mosquito breeding grounds.

YB Puan Jamaliah highlighted, "Although Selangor has successfully reduced dengue cases by 66% as of July 2025, dengue remains a serious threat that can claim lives. The fight against dengue requires the involvement and commitment of all parties. Let us continue to stand together to protect our families, neighbours, and communities from this dangerous outbreak."

Kao Malaysia representatives engages with YB Puan Jamaliah Binti Jamaludin and residents with product sharing of Bioré GUARD Mos Block Serum and Bioré UV, reinforcing personal protection messages.

As a supporting partner, Kao Malaysia set up a dedicated awareness booth to educate the public on mosquito and sun protection. The team demonstrated how Bioré GUARD Mos Block Serum and Bioré UV offer added defense against mosquito bites and harmful UV rays.

Through this initiative, Kao Malaysia reaffirmed its commitment under the Kirei Lifestyle Plan to drive social good through health education, community support, and environmental care.
