Recognized as the oldest half marathon in Malaysia, the PJ Half Marathon (PJHM) has been held annually since 2014. Now in its 35th edition, the event continues to grow in scale and popularity, attracting runners of all ages and backgrounds. This year, the marathon welcomed a total of 8,000 participants, including over 200 foreign runners, across five exciting categories – 30KM, 21KM (Half Marathon), 10KM, 5KM (Fun Run), and 1KM (Costume Run).
The marathon is jointly organized by the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) and Puncak Ventures SRA Sdn Bhd, in collaboration with the Selangor Para Athletics Association, and supported by Tourism Selangor as part of the Visit Selangor 2025 campaign. This year's race also introduced a newly designed route with 30% less elevation, allowing more runners to enjoy a course that highlights both the historic charm and modern landmarks of Petaling Jaya.
Kao Malaysia's involvement reflects its commitment to promoting a healthy and active lifestyle in the community, in line with the company's Kirei Lifestyle vision of contributing to the well-being of people and society. At the event, Kao also hosted an interactive booth to engage with runners and supporters, where they received goodie bags filled with Kao's well-loved products as a token of encouragement and appreciation.
Through this initiative, the community not only experienced Kao's support but also gained greater awareness of Kao as a trusted company and its wide range of brands, helping to showcase who we are and the value we bring to consumers.
