Petaling Jaya, May 20, 2025 – Kao Laurier successfully hosted the Kao Face of Future Leaders event at the Azman Hashim Building, University of Malaya, as part of its ongoing ESG commitment to women's empowerment and youth development.

The morning session welcomed 30 female university students from diverse academic backgrounds to participate in a hands-on workshop designed to equip them with critical skills to transition smoothly from the classroom to the professional world. Organized in collaboration with CareerKit, University of Malaya, and supported by Kao's consumer brands – Laurier, Bioré, and Liese – this program aims to build confidence, inspire leadership, and promote financial literacy.

The program was structured around four main pillars:

  1. Developing Technical Skills – Students received digital literacy training and exposure to industry-specific software.
  2. Cultivating Soft Skills – Sessions on communication, collaboration, leadership, and self-awareness helped sharpen interpersonal capabilities.
  3. Preparing for the Future of Work – Students learned to adopt an entrepreneurial mindset, cultivating creativity and problem-solving.
  4. Fostering a Growth Mindset – The event encouraged students to see challenges as opportunities and to believe in their capacity to grow.

Guest speakers Min Chia, FutureLab mentor and co-founder of The Other School, and Mallory Loone, founder of WorkInspires and Malaysia's Most Talented Coach 2019, led workshops on the Foundation of Confidence and Foundation of Success, offering real-world advice, interactive learning, and motivation.
