Participants of Kao Face of Future Leaders gather at University of Malaya for a day of empowerment and learning, supported by Laurier, Bioré, and Liese.
Petaling Jaya, May 20, 2025 – Kao Laurier successfully hosted the Kao Face of Future Leaders event at the Azman Hashim Building, University of Malaya, as part of its ongoing ESG commitment to women's empowerment and youth development.
The morning session welcomed 30 female university students from diverse academic backgrounds to participate in a hands-on workshop designed to equip them with critical skills to transition smoothly from the classroom to the professional world. Organized in collaboration with CareerKit, University of Malaya, and supported by Kao's consumer brands – Laurier, Bioré, and Liese – this program aims to build confidence, inspire leadership, and promote financial literacy.
Participants actively engage in team-based soft skill activities, developing communication, leadership, and workplace collaboration.
The program was structured around four main pillars:
Guest speakers Min Chia, FutureLab mentor and co-founder of The Other School, and Mallory Loone, founder of WorkInspires and Malaysia's Most Talented Coach 2019, led workshops on the Foundation of Confidence and Foundation of Success, offering real-world advice, interactive learning, and motivation.

This impactful initiative will continue with an upcoming session at University of Malaya on June 28, 2025, further demonstrating Kao's commitment to nurturing female leaders of tomorrow. Through this program, Kao Malaysia aims to empower young women with real-world knowledge and skills, promote workplace readiness, and build self-belief. As part of its ESG efforts, the initiative also reflects Kao's dedication to supporting communities and future female leadership.
