Laurier and Ibupreneur Academy collaborate to equip financially dependent mothers with the tools to become confident, tech-savvy micro-entrepreneurs.
Kuala Lumpur, 20 May 2025 – In a meaningful step towards inclusive progress and gender empowerment, Laurier Malaysia collaborated with Ibupreneur Academy to host a branding workshop titled "Tell Your Brand Story" at the Oval, Damansara. This initiative is part of Kao Malaysia's ESG commitment to help financially dependent and vulnerable mothers to unlock their entrepreneurial potential and take steps toward financial independence.
Learning by doing – participants dive into branding and digital tools, gaining practical skills to elevate their businesses during the branding workshop.
Through the Ibupreneur Academy, these women are equipped with both technical and soft skills designed to support their journey into successful micro-enterprise. The program integrates modern technologies, promotes self-reliance, and nurtures entrepreneurial thinking. The workshop offered a practical, hands-on experience covering four key modules: Basics of Branding, AI Usage in Business, Storytelling in Branding and Creating Social Media Content. These topics were designed to build self-confidence, develop authentic brand identities, and empower participants to market their products and services effectively in today's digital economy.
Participants proudly share their business journeys during the workshop.
This collaboration with Ibupreneur Academy reflects Laurier's core belief in empowering women at every stage of life. Laurier hopes to grow a community of tech-savvy, confident women ready to build sustainable income streams and inspire others in their communities.
The initiative is expected to drive long-term impact by empowering participants with essential branding knowledge to effectively position their products or services in the market. It also equips them with practical AI and digital marketing tools, enabling them to stay competitive in an increasingly digital economy. The program fosters authenticity and builds self-confidence in brand storytelling, encouraging women to express their unique identities through their businesses. Additionally, the initiative aims to create pathways toward sustainable livelihoods and lasting economic independence.
