Kao Malaysia 1st collaboration with Watsons Malaysia on the "Sustainable Choices" campaign

Petaling Jaya, 15th April 2025, At the heart of this initiative lies Kao's mission to create a Kirei World, where people, society, and the planet coexist in harmony.

Kao Malaysia is proud to collaborate with Watsons Malaysia on the "Sustainable Choices" campaign, reinforcing our commitment to sustainability and social responsibility. This will support sustainability core pillars where Kao Corporation are committed to drive Comfortable Lifestyle, Thoughtful Society, and a Healthy Global Environment.

As a key partner in Watsons' sustainability initiatives, this campaign aligns with our ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) priorities while driving awareness and adoption of eco-friendly products. Watsons is a strategic partner in driving sustainable beauty and personal care solutions, with a strong retail presence and shared commitment to environmental responsibility. Through this collaboration, we aim to:

  1. Promote Kao's innovative sustainability efforts under Watsons' "Sustainable Choices" program.
  2. Educate and engage consumers on making eco-conscious purchasing decisions.
  3. Strengthen Kao Malaysia partnership with Watsons Malaysia through exclusive product offerings and tailored sustainability campaigns.

Campaign Activities

FREE Reusable Kao Tote Bag with minimum spend of RM30 and above on participating brands products (* while stocks last)
This initiative encourages consumers to adopt reusable bags, reducing single-use plastic waste.

Campaign Duration:

Promotion: 15 April - 5 May 2025 (West Malaysia)
Retail Activation Period: 22 April - 12 May 2025 (East Malaysia)

Expanding Kao's ESG Commitment

This initiative is part of Kao's broader ESG campaign, "Empower the Future for Children," which integrates sustainability with social impact. The campaign also features artwork from the Kao International Environment Painting Contest for Children, reinforcing the importance of sustainability in younger generations. The Kao International Environment Painting Contest for Children has been held yearly since 2010. Over 160,000 children have contributed their expressions of thoughts on the environment, inspiring both children and adults to reflect on the future of the planet.

By incorporating these artworks into the campaign, we hope to further emphasize the role of young minds in shaping a more sustainable world.
Through this campaign, Kao Malaysia continues to lead the way in providing sustainable beauty and personal care solutions while strengthening its partnership with Watsons Malaysia to drive positive environmental change.
Together, we empower consumers to make choices that protect the planet for future generations.
