DECEMBER 13, 2024 – Kao Malaysia proudly introduced its first ESG campaign with Kao Face of Future Leaders program at the company's headquarters in Petaling Jaya. This initiative marks a significant milestone in Kao's commitment to fostering women's empowerment, aligning seamlessly with its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) objectives.

The program welcomed a group of 30 university students from the Faculty of Business & Economics at the University of Malaya to participate in a series of interactive skill-building workshops designed to prepare them for adulthood and professional careers. The initiative reflects Kao's dedication to nurturing future female leaders and equipping them with essential tools for success in a competitive world.

Empowering Young Women with Knowledge and Confidence

The Kao Face of Future Leaders program was structured to deliver impactful sessions on key topics such as personal branding, resume writing, job interview skills, and building self-confidence. The workshops were led by two distinguished trainers:

  • Teoh Min Chia, HRDC-Certified Trainer and Leadership Coach, who delivered the "Foundation of Confidence" session, inspiring participants to embrace their strengths and build resilience.
  • Mallory Loone, TEDx Speaker and Certified Motivational Coach, who presented the "Foundation of Success" session, providing practical insights into achieving personal and professional growth.

Rewarding Excellence and Promoting Financial Literacy

A key highlight of the program was the selection of three outstanding participants who were awarded RM1,500 each through the National Education Savings Scheme (SSPN-i). This financial award signifies Kao's commitment to supporting education and promoting financial literacy among young women. The winners expressed gratitude for the opportunity and shared their aspirations to use the funds to further their educational journeys.
