Laurier x Maglifestyle: Empowering Women's Confidence at KL Fashion Week 2024

July 30, 2024, Kuala Lumpur – The Laurier x Maglifestyle showcase was held on the second day of KLFW (KL Fashion Week)'s seven-day celebration of eclectic styles and aesthetics. The collective power of feminine confidence took center stage at this showcase, inspired by KAO Laurier, the leader in feminine hygiene products, and brought to life by local designer brand Maglifestyle.

Set against the stunning backdrop of Malaysia's iconic PETRONAS Twin Towers at the Esplanade in KLCC Park, the showcase emphasized that nothing could hinder confident women, not even periods. This collaboration between Laurier and Maglifestyle advocates for greater confidence among young women in Malaysia, both through the eye-catching fashion statements and confidence that shines from within. Embracing the theme "Wear it all with confidence," the collection captivated audiences with show-stopping pieces modelled by Laurier brand ambassadors and internet sensations Christinna Kuan, better known as Mskuan, and Sofea Shra.

When asked how the collaboration with KLFW and Maglifestyle aligns with KAO's overall brand philosophy, KAO Malaysia President Nishimaki Akira, who graced the showcase, shared, "Through this collaboration, we seek to connect with consumers on a deeper, more personal level. We believe this partnership with KL Fashion Week will allow us to demonstrate our commitment to empowering and promoting local talents within the fashion and lifestyle industry. The 10 pre-presentation designs by designer sisters Yen Lee Wong and Shirley Wong of Maglifestyle were inspired by Laurier's ultra-thin range, specifically the Laurier Super Slimguard. Featuring a vibrant floral print, the showcase presented a burst of freshness and elegance against a green and pink runway backdrop. The collection used vibrant floral prints throughout and featured a clever mix of elements such as bows, denim, and soft romantic ruffles. The range included versatile looks, from fashion-forward power suits and playful summer outfits to dreamy evening silhouettes.
