Kao Magiclean won Bronze Award at Putra Aria Brand Awards 2023 in Household category

KUALA LUMPUR – Kao Magiclean has bagged a Bronze award under the household category at the Putra Aria Brand Awards 2023. The Putra Aria Brand Awards, held at One World Hotel here on Jan 18 aims to recognise brands that connect and build a strong relationship with consumers.

The Putra Aria Brand Awards was established in 2022 by the Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Malaysia (4As). It is endorsed by MATRADE as the Brand Champion Partner and supported by the Malaysian Advertisers Association (MAA), the Media Specialists Association (MSA) and the Malaysian Digital Association (MDA), the Putra Aria Brand Awards stands as a mark of excellence in the industry.

According to the organiser, over 11,000 consumer responses were received during an eight-week long survey period from September to October in 2023, comprising those who responded to "invitation-to-participate" advertisements published on 62 websites. Responses were captured directly by research company Ipsos, and thereafter compiled for endorsement by the Putra Aria Brand Awards board of governors.

The survey respondents rate the brand based on experience with the brand, brand impression, intent to purchase and their forced choice brand. Consumer responses are captured directly by research company IPSOS and thereafter presented to the Board of Governors.


During the interview, Mr. Nishimaki Akira, the President of Kao Malaysia said "I'm honoured and happy to receive the award as it was chosen by 11,000 consumers. Furthermore, this is the first time we received this award in Kao Malaysia's history. Magiclean has been designed to make home cleaning effortless without excessive scrubbing efforts. Hence that is why Malaysian consumers are making sustainable choices by using Magiclean to save time and effort in their home cleaning routine."

Ms. Tan Poh Ling, the Vice President of Marketing, Kao Malaysia added that "This is the reflection of our team efforts and something that we should be proud of. After Kao Malaysia has been in the market for 50 years, this is a good start for us. We look forward to winning more awards like this in coming years."

Speaking on the victory, Ms. Carisse Khoo, the Category Manager of Home Care category in Kao Malaysia recalled that "The win took us by surprise, and we are very happy. It marks the first time we have received an award in 10 years since Magiclean entered the market. The achievement was unexpected, but it has brought us immense joy."

Lastly the award recognition will feature Magiclean brands remarkable win with brand unique story in The Star Special Putra Aria Brand Awards 2023 pull out on February 24th.
