Kao Malaysia and AEON Jointly Raised RM28,000 with Malaysians for Charitable Cause


KUALA LUMPUR – Kao Malaysia proudly teamed up with AEON in a charitable initiative that signifies Kao's dedication to fostering social responsibility and championing Kirei Lifestyle Plan among Malaysians.
Under this initiative, a portion of sales from selected Kao products—including Attack, Magiclean, Merries, and Bioré Guard—purchased at AEON outlets will directly contribute to the KAMI Project under the Malaysian AEON Foundation. KAMI Project, also known as the Urban Poverty Support Project was introduced by Malaysian AEON Foundation. The aim is to provide greater opportunity for the community in terms of economic, social and education.

This campaign has occurred from 1st to 31st August 2023 where consumers bought selected Kao products at their nearest AEON. And with every RM50 that consumers spent, RM1 will be donated to the Malaysian AEON Foundation. On top of that, shoppers will also receive complimentary Kao goodies worth RM23, as a token of appreciation for supporting the good cause.


The initiative spotlighted Kao's "Every Step Together, Caring for Milestones That Matter" campaign, an ESG-centric campaign crafted in partnership with the Malaysian AEON Foundation. This program bridges corporations, households, and communities, targeting an improved quality of life at every life phase.

A ceremonial mock cheque presentation at Kao Malaysia's main office on 7th November 2023 marked the occasion. The event resonated with speeches from esteemed figures like Mr. Nishimaki Akira, President of Kao Malaysia, Mr. Ngo Wei Foo, Sales Vice President of Kao Malaysia, and YBhg. Datuk Iskandar, President of the Malaysian AEON Foundation.

Highlighting Kao's lasting impact on Malaysians, Mr. Nishimaki Akira, President of Kao Malaysia, remarked, "For decades, Kao Malaysia has touched the lives of Malaysians at various life stages.
