60 Years of Commitment! Kao Wins Two Prime Minister's Industry Awards 2024 Showcasing Excellence in Environmental Preservation and Social Responsibility

Kao Industrial (Thailand) Co., Ltd., led by Mr. Yuji Shimizu, President (right), and Mr. Tadanobu Asada, Vice president Supply Chain and Factory Manager (left), proudly received the prestigious Prime Minister's Industry Award 2024 in two categories: Environmental Quality Conservation and Social Responsibility. The awards were presented by Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra at a ceremony held at the Santi Maitri Building, Government House, organized by the Ministry of Industry.

Mr. Yuji Shimizu, President of Kao Industrial Thailand Co., Ltd. highlighted the company's unwavering dedication to sustainability (ESG), which has been a core principle of its operations in Thailand for over
60 years. Through the Kirei Lifestyle Plan, Kao is committed to reducing environmental impact across the entire product lifecycle by focusing on efficient resource use and optimizing waste management practices.
The company adopts eco-design principles to enhance product efficiency while minimizing environmental impact during customer use. Additionally, Kao implements the 4Rs strategy (Reduce, Reuse, Replace, Recycle) to develop eco-friendly packaging solutions. Social responsibility also remains a cornerstone of Kao's business philosophy, fostering balance and sustainable development across various sectors.

Kao has launched the "Collaboration Project to reduce the spread of Dengue fever" project in partnership with public and private sectors. This initiative leverages the strengths of each partner to raise awareness and comprehensively address dengue fever, fostering a strong alliance for effective prevention.

Recipients are selected based on rigorous criteria evaluated by a panel of distinguished experts.
