Dow Thailand Group together with Kao Industrial (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and World Vision Foundation of Thailand held 'Reproductive Health' workshop for 60 teenagers from Eastern Child Welfare Protection Home and Rayong Shelter for Children, by educating on how to use and eliminate sanitary pads correctly and enhancing comprehensive knowledge of menstruation. Kao Thailand also provided 500,000 pieces of Laurier sanitary pads worth of baht 406,250 to all teenagers throughout project in order to provide equal access.
Moreover, teenagers were educated on the risks associated with sexually transmitted infections without unprotected sexual contact, the method of infections testing as well as the difference between AIDS and HIV symptoms to help teenagers understand and able to protect and cope with the risks by themselves properly.
This activity is the part of "Freedom Project", which received financial support from Dow's Employee Resource Groups Fund offering to Women's Inclusion Network, aims to prioritize on building awareness of hormones differentiation and fertility of female and male. Furthermore, this activity will help teenagers to understand and accept the differences of sexuality as well as respect the rights of others.
