Should I worry about allergies even if a product has been allergy tested?

When skincare products are “allergy tested”, it means that manufacturers adopt a method of testing (such as patch test) to check if a product passes the safety standard. When selecting skincare products based on this label, it is not advisable to choose products that say they “cause no allergy” or “have no adverse influence on skin”. It is recommended that those with sensitive skin conduct a patch test before using a new skincare product.

What is a patch test?
A patch test is done by applying the product onto a small area of skin and checking if skin develops an allergic reaction.
