Kao Announces Winners of the Ninth Kao International Environment Painting Contest for Children

Awards Ceremony to be held at EcoPro 2018 event

Kao Corporation is pleased to announce the winners of the Ninth Kao International Environment Painting Contest for Children. This year, 12,563 entries were received from 44 countries and areas from Asia, the Americas, Europe and Africa. The award-winning paintings will be exhibited at the Kao booth at EcoPro 2018, a major event to be held at Tokyo Big Sight on December 6-8. The top-ranking winners are invited from around the world to take part in the awards ceremony at the event.

The contest has been held annually since 2010 and aims to encourage children around the world to think seriously about conservation of the environment around them and to take action in everyday life. Kao will continue to engage in inspiring more people to think about their surrounding environments and lifestyles through these paintings, which are exhibited in various locations throughout Japan, as well through a book published featuring the selected works.

Aiming at preserving the environment of our precious earth to pass it on to future generations, the contest accepted entries of paintings showing your thoughts.
