Access to clean water is a basic and important need to support daily life. Clean water plays a very important role in improving the quality of life, health, and even becomes one of the factors that have a social and economic impact. Based on data from water.org, 18 million people in Indonesia do not have access to clean water and 20 million people are unable to improve sanitation facilities. This is the background of Attack and Electrolux's efforts to make a social contribution by building a Water Point. This activity is a form of Attack and Electrolux's care for the society regarding the need for clean water sanitation and as a form of commitment to support and increase public awareness in the implementation of Clean and Healthy Life Behavior (PHBS) and Community-Based Total Sanitation (STBM) program to realize GERMAS which was launched by Indonesian Ministry of Health.

Community empowerment is very important in health development. Community behavior is the main factor that affects health and the environment, but cooperation from all parties is still needed, both from the government, private sector, community in facilitating access to health facilities, one of which is access to clean water to support clean and hygienic washing of clothes.

"I represent the people of Mauk village, Tangerang, much appreciation for the contribution made by Attack and Electrolux for the people in our village. Of course, this is a moment that can inspire us in implementing clean and healthy living behavior, because we have access to clean water for washing and daily necessities. With access to clean water, of course I am optimistic that public health can improve, and if it is healthy, of course it can improve the standard and quality of life of the residents of Mauk Village", explained Suryadi as Head of Kedung Dalem Village, Mauk, Tangerang.

For decades doing the program in Mauk, the provision of clean water is still expected. We welcome the spirit of Attack and Electrolux who share the same vision in an effort to end an unhealthy lifestyle through the development of access to clean water. Thank you for entrusting Habitat Indonesia as a partner in this program. Hopefully this good collaboration can continue and the availability of access to clean water that has been built can be used optimally by the community to support the development of healthy lifestyle patterns and prevention of stunting in children and families there."

The Ministry of Health, Directorate of Environmental Health has launched a clean water and sanitation program which is carried out through the Community-Based Total Sanitation (STBM) approach which has proven to be an effective approach to change people's behavior. In organizing STBM, the community is triggered and facilitated by the cooperation of all parties. The expected behavior change in STBM is a total change in behavior that is not only carried out by one person but is carried out by all families. With the change in behavior together, it is hoped that the community can break the chain of disease transmission.

"The Water Point Development carried out by Attack and Electrolux through the ElectroluxAttackCare Solidarity activity is expected to be a real contribution to the community, especially the people in Mauk Village – Tangerang, in meeting the sanitation needs of clean water and can contribute to improving mutual welfare so that they can maintain cleanliness, especially during the pandemic.
