Commemorate the 2019 Earth Day, Kao Indonesia is Caring the Ciliwung

Jakarta, 22 April 2019 - In commemorating the 2019 earth day, Kao Indonesia in collaboration with Masyarakat Peduli Ciliwung Community (MatPeCi) conducted the activity with the theme "Save the river, save the earth" in Monday, April 22, 2019 along the Ciliwung riverbanks at Jl. Arus RT07 / RW01, Srengseng Sawah village, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta.

The activity was supported by the head of Srengseng Sawah village, Tubagus Masruri and attended by KOMINFO (Communication and Information institution) Public Relations, Bapak Mardani and representative of sub district Jagakarsa, Bapak Deni and Ibu Siwi as representative of Balai Besar Wilayah Sungai Ciliwung Cisadane.

"The activity was expected could increase the awareness of people , importance to preserve the environment especially Ciliwung river. We have to improve the cleanliness and quality of Ciliwung and make Ciliwung as a new tourism destination in south of Jakarta", said Usman Firdauz, Head of MatPeCi.

The activity was beginning with following the riverbanks from river school at 0 KM DKI Jakarta riding boat and continued with planting the endemic trees, releasing the fish to improve the ciliwung ecosystem and cleaning the riverbanks together with 100 university students and other people around.

"We, Kao Indonesia, committed not only produces the high quality products for Indonesia people but also contribute to environment and the society. Through this kind of activity we hope the young generation as an agent of change could improve the environment for the better world" said Johny Lay, Senior Manager of HCD Kao Indonesia.
