Kao's participation in the "ESG Disclosure Study Group"

The Kao Group has decided to take part in the ESG Disclosure Study Group (herein after referred to as "the study group") which is set to establish in June 2020. The Study Group is made up of 19 private companies and conducts researches on ESG-related information disclosure with an aim to create ways to harmonize development of sustainability of society with an increase in corporate value and growth of companies. Dr. Tetsuo Kitagawa, Professor emeritus of Aoyama Gakuin University and a specially appointed professor of Tokyo Metropolitan University plays a dual role as a representative director and a supervisor for the study group.

The study group is set up to deepen mutual understanding between enterprises and stakeholders and contribute to further increasing corporate value for companies making endeavor for ESG.

By introducing ESG perspective into management, Kao aims to expand its business and provide better products and services to consumers and society. We will develop Kao’s unique ESG activities globally to realize a rich lifestyle culture with the joy and satisfaction of people around the world, and to contribute to the sustainability of society.
