Mahidol University and Tha Song Yang (Hospital Visit / Village Visit)

Kao is continuing activities, such as joint research with Mahidol University and identifying issues related to mosquito transmission of infectious diseases by visiting local facilities.

Mahidol University

Kao has been conducting joint research with the Mahidol University Faculty of Tropical Medicine since 2014.
At Mahidol University, we are studying mosquitoes that transmit infectious diseases in Southeast Asia, such as Aedes aegypti and Anopheles mosquito. Kao is collaborating with Mahidol University to study human exploration behavior and mosquito blood-sucking behavior in detail in Southeast Asia. Additionally, we participate in field surveys in areas where there are many people infected with dengue fever and malaria. We listen to issues of the daily life from the voices of consumers, which leads to product development.

Tha Song Yang (hospital visit / village visit)

From 2018 to 2019, we visited facilities, such as the living environment of residents, hospitals, and malaria clinics in the Tha Song Yang District, Tak Province, northwestern Thailand, where many people are infected with malaria. We are experiencing mosquito infectious disease issues that are different from those in urban areas.
