Kao (China) Holding Co., Ltd., a Kao Group company, participated in the three-day China-Japan Green Expo 2011 at the China National Convention Center (Beijing, China) from June 1 through June 3.
Based on the theme of "energy conservation, resource saving, and effective use of energy," the exhibition focused on advancements in, and the robust promotion of, technical innovations and industries concerning the environment of both countries. A total of 92 organizations, including the Chinese government and companies from both countries, participated in the exhibition.
Placing ecology at the center of management, the Kao Group announced its Environmental Statement in June 2009, proactively undertaking its business activities based on ecological perspectives. As the theme of the Statement, the Group is upholding "eco together" activities and proposing more ecological approaches working together with various stakeholders, including consumers, throughout product cycles, from raw material procurement and production, to distribution, sales, use, and disposal.
Kao's exhibit employed panel and video displays, plus actual products, to introduce the Kao Group as well as Kao China's domestic environmental activities embodying the "eco together" concept.
Main items on exhibit
ãƒ» Exhibits explaining Kao's environmental initiatives in energy conservation and waste materials reduction at individual production plants in Shanghai that manufacture consumer and chemical products.
ãƒ» Introductions to consumer products, such as Attack Instant Clean Liquid laundry detergent and Laurier thin sanitary napkins, as well as eco-chemical products such as the plant-based polylactide resin ECOLA.
Some 1,500 visitors stopped by Kao's booth during the three-day period.
The third day featured exhibition-related seminars regarding the development of environmentally-conscious modified polylactide resin, for which Kao presented environmental technology concerning the plant-based polylactide resin ECOLA.
The event provided visitors with the opportunity to learn about Kao Group's business activities in China as well as Kao China's environmental activities.
Visitors to the booth received an explanation of Kao China's environmental activities.
